My story starts in Ypsilanti in 1988. I was ten when my mother created our original ground turkey egg roll. She dreamed of opening a restaurant to share her cooking. As her eldest daughter, I carry that dream with me in every roll.

For years, family and friends told me I needed to sell them. A friend even gave me the name EggRollDiva. Just before the pandemic, I finally started taking egg roll orders and doing local catering. The business grew through that time, one order and one gathering at a time.

In May 2022, I left my corporate job to give EggRollDiva my full attention. Today, that beginning has grown into a food trailer, a food truck and a branded tent, with a second truck announced in 2025. It’s a small, minority, woman-owned business, built around a recipe that has been part of my family since I was a child.

When customers tell me these are the best egg rolls they’ve ever had, I think about my mother and the dream that started all of this. I’m proud to keep sharing her cooking, and grateful to everyone who encouraged me to take that first step. I’m EggRollDiva, and this is our story.
